Animephile Rating: F (5.0)
- Video Scan Type : interlaced-Movie (-5.0) -
When I saw the SPE Visual Works logo, I was worried. The only other disc I
have that is done by them is the Miyuki-chan in Wonderland and it sure was
disappointing. Well, so is this one. 3:2 pulldown does not change much (if
any) during the entire movie, so with dTV, you can lock it down to the correct
mode and it should be fine.
- Aspect Handling : anamorphic-ANY (-0.0) -
At least it's anamorphic.

- Video Separation : -0.0

Comments:
Well, the box and the stuff you get are pretty impressive. Movie itself is
actually quite entertaining. I was expecting to be totally disappointed.
Maybe that's why I wasn't so disappointed. It's a little short, but oh well.
Soundtrack is AMAZING! I've never _heard_ a DVD with this much
Low-Frequency-Effects.
Image is made up of digitally mastered version (disc2) and this version.
Digitally mastered version has better color saturation and sharpness. It also
uses more of the screen estate. Digitally mastered version also lacks the
film shaking. Film version doesn't have much of film shaking either, but even
a little is more than none. Film version looks slightly softer and may feel
more "film-like" on a fast digital display like DLP or GLV. For the most
part, I see no reason for people to purchase the film version.
