There's really nothing that stands out in the story. It's mostly just everyday events. Even the events that are slightly unrealistic, are moderate. The thing is, of course, I _love_ this kind of stories!
In case someone is wondering if this would make someone cry, I don't think so. As I said already, everything (story, people, events) is mild and well-natured, so it's more likely to make you smile and sigh than to make you laugh or cry.
