There are a bit more turbulent events, but overall, it's still nice and mild.
I really liked the TV story and the cellphone story. Do you realize I have neither? Of course, I have a very different reason for not having them.
Most people who read my site are probably aware of the fact that I'm a big show-off. Obviously, I'm not anywhere near poor, although I don't consider myself all that rich, either. But I bet people don't know my family used to be fairly poor. I got through college using nothing but grants, loans, and some money I earned through a part-time job. Back then, my mother lived in a seriously run-down place for less than $350/month. Basically, I've worked for everything I have now. And damn it, I like my expensive toys! I just bought another L-series lens for my camera, by the way. What does that have anything to do with anything? I don't know :p
