Oh my! I bought anime DVD again! And here we thought my last purchase would be School Days. :p
This is what I call a gem of a failure. It seems that most of the BLUE DROP related stories have this quality. They can be so much more, but they're not. Regardless, after watching a couple of episodes at a local anime club, I fell in love with the voice cast, so I looked for used DVDs while I was at Akihabara. I got an unopened (new) volume 1 for mere Y1,580. It's an exceptional deal, as even used DVDs usually cost more than that. My guess is that it was bought by someone for an event privilege only and unloaded immediately upon purchase. Believe or not, this is not an uncommon practice. For example, one gets a Y5,000 DVD, and immediately unloads it for Y2,400. It's like buying an event ticket for Y2,600. It's sad that they have to sell people instead of products.
