BLUE DROP ~Tenshi no Bokura~ 2

Created/Updated 2008-10-19

I'm going to write some spoilers below, so let me first say that if you really like BLUE DROP series, like umm... yuri+H, and can overlook the nonsensical nature of this story, it probably won't hurt to read this 2-volume series. If you have doubts, forget about this 2-volume series and get the short story collection of BLUE DROP (ISBN978-4-8402-3327-6).

Beyond this point contains SPOILER. Feel free to skip to the image.

I think there are some major inconsistencies in the plot. For example, pages 65 and 68-69, you can see Kenzou's nosebleed is dark in color. I'm sure it's meant to be red, since the manga is black & white. However, that body is actually not that of a human, so why is the blood red? Oops!

And if that body only has female capabilities, why is that a problem? Arume is already capable of impregnating a normal human female, so why can't they just impregnate an Arume born with only the female capabilities? I'm guessing that the goal, from the very beginning, was to get Shouta to mate with an Arume girl because it's actually Shouta's gene that's the key, not Arume girl's problem of only having female capabilities. If so, why the heck did they choose Kenzou as the mind override? They should have tried to find a girl who has a crush on Shouta. It doesn't seem that unlikely. Heck, if they needed a boy's mind, they should have used Shin'ichi.

I guess the second problem can be explained away by saying that Kenzou was the closest friend to Shouta. I would have guessed that the writer didn't have the whole story in mind when he wrote it. And guess what, he says so himself!

This is the worst love story I've ever encountered.
