Comments:

This show is so mixed up with so many different kinds of stereotypical characters, I can't figure out what the real purpose of it is.

There's tiny, cute, and kind of passive Yurikusa Chika, who happens to remind me of Tsubasa (Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou). She also has a tendency to take pictures of useless(?) stuff just like Kyouko (Full Metal Panic). Anyway, she's voiced by Katou Nanae, who is also Ahiru in Princess Tutu. Yeah!

Then there's Midou Shizuka, who happens to be just like Koigakubo Momoko (Gakkou no Kaidan). Speaking of Gakkou no Kaidan, Koma also reminds me of Kaya.

This one might be a bit farfetched, but Sakibara Izumi reminds me of Komatsu Chiaki (NieA_7) just because they are both _very_ interested in aliens.

Rikiishi Seiko acts a lot like Tomo-chan (Azumanga Daiou), too.

The main character, Hieda Yuzu, voiced by Shimizu Ai (Minawa-chan (370) in Mahoromatic II), is too much of a typical anime character that I can't really link her with any other character. I do have to mention that this is a better role for Ai-chan than Minawa is.

I don't think I even need to bother talking about Hieda Kurako, voiced by Hayashibara Megumi.

I mention all these things, but the only thing that really bothers me is the similarity between this show and Gakkou no Kaidan. I loved Gakkou no Kaidan and because of that, I can't seem to like this show. I do feel that the show has something going for itself, but it's just too out of focus. It's rarely serious except when Kurako is on the screen. When it is serious, though, I wish it weren't. Most of the jokes are all over the place, too. I don't know how long those Sailor_Moon-like attacks are going to amuse me. Animation is a little sloppy here and there, but is technically very clean, so I might just keep buying it unless it's too long.

Image: Excuse the JPEG artifacts. I need to save space. Character drawings are done in a round-about way, but lines are all very sharp. Background images are fairly good.
