Animephile Rating: B (8.0)

I believe this is the first anime I've ever owned that is animated
at 30 frames per second!
- Aspect Handling : standard (-0.0)
- Compression : -0.0 -
Well, it's not perfect, but MPEG2 isn't perfect to begin with.
- Video Separation : -0.0
- Scene Transition : -0.0
- Calibration : -0.0
- Other : -2.0 -
There are quite a few areas in which the fields are reversed, so
force-weave will give wrong results (every frame has feathering).
Comments:
Menu is very cool. I normally hate menus because all they do is to delay
my navigation, but this one is fast enough for me. 5.1ch music tracks
are neat idea except I don't care for the songs on this DVD.
As for the anime itself, I don't feel anything special from it. I never
really liked the whole Armitage III series except on the original OVA, I
felt something special from the character, Naomi. That doesn't seem to
exist in this Dual Matrix.
It's entertaining enough for a rent.
Image1: Worst possible test for MPEG2. White noise is, by definition,
random, therefore there's nothing MPEG2 compression can make use of.
