I've been wanting to get some more yuri manga, so while browsing through Amazon.co.jp listings, I saw this series getting good reviews, but didn't actually order it. Then I saw the first 4 volumes at a used bookstore in Akihabara, so I picked them up.
I'm regretting it. This is what I'd call a shoujo yuri. It's too slow, dragged down by too many characters other than the two main characters. I'm guessing girls like this stuff. For some reason, girls like to spread out their attention, whereas boys prefer to focus on just one thing.
I much prefer "Girl Friends" series. Seeing as how "Aoi Hana" is animated, I'm expecting "Girl Friends" to get anime treatment at some point, too. It'd be interesting to see who voices the main characters. I hope they focus on the relationship and not so much on panties and what not. But none of that has anything to do with this series. Obviously, I'm not going to pick up any more volumes of this series.
