First of all, do you know the one who sings the ending theme? Ed! Yes, Ed from Cowboy Bebop. Cool. Wonderful voice, isn't it?

There are four reasons I can think of to NOT buy this CD.

  1. Sound quality of the Original Soundtrack (KSLA-0059~60) is better, and the same full length songs are included there.
  2. In fact, the ending theme on the OST has a preamble, just like the TV version, unlike the track 2 on this CD. I personally prefer the version with the preamble, but if you want the one without, I guess you want this CD after all.
  3. TV sized version can be ripped from BD/DVD, so you don't need this CD to get them, unless I guess, you don't have the BD/DVD.
  4. The DVD that comes with the first pressing of this CD only contains the creditless versions of the episode 2 opening and ending. Being a DVD, they're only DVD quality (720x480). I get the full HD 1080p version of the same thing on the BD Volume 1. Oh, you don't have BD/DVD? Too bad.

OST version has noticeably more dynamic range (i.e. less dynamic range compression was used). To me, that is enough to simply recommend people to buy the OST instead of this single. So the above list is not all that meaningful to purest like me. OST is more expensive? Well, yeah, but you get the BGM, too.
