This volume contains the "Grandma" episode and the "Onsen" episode. I really liked both of these stories in the manga, which is why I ended up buying the DVD. Manga story is definitely nicer. Strangely enough, because the original story is of uneventful type (in a good way), moving images of anime seem to actually get in the way.
Animation quality is so so, but maybe a bit better than in the previous volume.
First pressing comes with two postcards. So far, I've got 10 postcards (two with each volume), but the folder that came with the first volume (first pressing) only has eight slots. What's up with that? If the expectation is to put two per slot, I'm expecting 16 postcards, but I don't see that happening. Companies that don't think about these things tend not to think about more important things, either. A prime example of this is Love Hina. Woo, it's been a while since I've done my Love Hina Bashing(TM). That stupid show came with a box to hold 8 DVDs, but ended up being 9 DVDs long.
Love the (virtual) camera angle. I'm buying a super wide angle lens for my new DSLR at some point to try this. It probably needs to be a composite since the stars won't show up at anything but really long exposure. Speaking of DSLR, can you believe the only reason I bought it is because I felt inadequate taking pictures of Sanada-san at Fanimecon 2006? It is. I bet I'm going to end up with thousands of dollars worth of lenses sooner or later. Heck, I already spent twelve hundred bucks on a single lens. I needed a new hobby anyway, with anime quality being so questionable these days.
More eating. We get that a lot in ARIA TV series for some reason. That must be why Aria shachou is so... mochimochi ponpon.
