It's kind of strange how I ended up with this CD. I was looking up CDs with songs sung by Nana-chan at Amazon.co.jp and while I was clicking away, Amazon decided to recommend this CD. I'm not too trusting of their automated recommendations, but the cover art caught my attention, so I read through the user reviews. It was highly rated. I decided to add it to the shopping cart and deal with it later. When it was time for me to submit the order, it refused to let me buy it!
Apparently, they're careful about shipping out games overseas. And for some stupid reason, this CD was classified as a game CD-ROM instead of an audio CD. This kind of stuff tends to get on my nerves, so even though I couldn't order it this time, I decided that I am going to pick this CD up no matter what.
Some time later, I got a notice from AnimeJungle saying that my watchlist item (Fancy Lala Music Canvas 2) became available. I always buy some other stuff when they find something on my watchlist, so I went to their site and learned that they now have small press CD section, which includes this soundtrack, so I bought it.
Of course, I have no idea about the game nor do I even care, but you have to admit, the cover art really stands out.
So how is it? I think it's decent. I'm not crazy about it nor do I dislike it.
I can proudly say that my version of the cover image is better than any of the other ones on-line because I actually took the time to connect up the top portion of the wing, which is on the reverse side of the booklet. It's higher resolution, too, of course. Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, but I don't put anything on my images to mark them as coming from my site. I figured, if it's on a public web site, it's public domain. I hope people at least give credit when it's due, though.
Update: corrected some unusual kanji readings. Why don't people email me when they find something wrong with my pages? I found the problem by searching for discussions about my site on Google. That's just all backwards. Also, I like the OST a lot more now that I know more about the series.
