I wrote in the "Theatrical Version AIR Premium Art Collection" listing that I wouldn't recommend that book. I'm making that stronger. Don't waste your money on that and buy this one instead. It's only about 30% more expensive but has many times better contents, both in quality and quantity. However, it appears that there will be an art book for the TV series as well, so you might want to consider that one as well.
As I suspected all along, TV series is much more true to the game art style and story than the theatrical version. Before I got this book, I was basing that opinion merely on the loving care that went into the TV series animation. Looking at this, I can see the uncanny closeness of the art style and the story progression.
It is a 224 page, full color, large wide format, and surprisingly heavy book. It even comes with a jacket. I'd have to say it's the most impressive (and heaviest) art book I own at the moment.
There is a big warning about this book, however. It has some adult situation art work. If you're put off by that, you might want to wait and see how the TV series art book turns out. I'll probably buy that too.
