I say this all the time and I say it again. Internally generated emotion leaves lasting impression, even if such emotion is generated due to an external stimulus. An externally applied one-shot emotion is just that, one-shot. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I can't say much about it, but in general, this kind of work tends to be disappointing. I can't understand how people don't see the difference between works like "To Heart" and works like "Kanon." Just by listening to the soundtrack, I'm getting this feeling that this is going to be like "Kanon." I still hope to be proven wrong.
As far as the soundtrack is concerned, the original 2-disc game soundtrack is waaaaay better.
Come to think of it, it's been a while since I gave a CD less than a 'C' rating.
