  • The first negotiation between Japanese government and invading army breaks down.
  • Thought Coagulation Weapon deployed.
• 2001:
  • Annihilation of the (Japanese) self-defense force.
  • Suspension of alien military activity.
  • Isolation of Japan due to "kaijin" deployment combined with shutdown of all airports.
  • Commencement of alien assimilation policy.
  • Localized armed conflicts continue.
• 2008:
  • Sea level rises due to alien meteorological weapon.
  • Japanese islands further split into smaller islands.

• 2010:
  • Establishment of a Japanese puppet government.
  • Partial revival of international relations.
• 2011:
  • Continued invasion of different countries by the aliens.
  • Commencement of education curriculum designed by the aliens.

  • "BLUE DROP ~Tenshi no Itazura~" (two short special manga chapters at the end of the ~Tenshi no Bokura~ manga volumes)
• 2028:
  • Annihilation of all earth nations.
  • U.N. becomes just a symbolic organization.
• 2029:
  • Ambassador plenipotentiary of the earth visits the alien mother ship. (the very beginning and the very end of the anime TV series)
  • Establishment of the alien controlled government for the entire earth.
  • Mixed race population takes hold.
• 2030:
  • Purebred human isolation project begins.
  • Gene protectionism.
  • Humans establish underground government.
• 2050:
  • Mutiny by surviving alien suicide weapons (soldiers).
• 2100:
  • Invading army declares independence from their home world. Emil Force Drive sealed.
• 2200:
  • Establishment of "Miniature Garden" project.
  • Establishment of retro-culture town.
• 2300:
  • The last alien to come from their home world (i.e. not born on earth) dies.
• 2800:
  • Problems caused by out-of-control unused weapons.
• 2904:
  • The third Hamasaki island incident (mentioned in Kaminoko).
• 3000:
  • Rebellion activity against the alien government increases.
  • "Kaijin" counter-measure project begins.
• 3004:
  • "Kaminoko" (first chapter of the original BLUE DROP manga released through Dengeki Comics)

• 3007:
  • Kiyomi first meets the original Rumi.

  • Yui is born.
