Okay, you "Alien Nine" fans. Listen up! I have transcribed all three volumes of the manga. [Volume 1: ISBN4-253-14607-4 Volume 2: ISBN4-253-14608-2 Volume 3: ISBN4-253-14609-0] They are in iso-2022-jp format (also known as new-shift-jis). What this means is that you can use computer dictionary programs such as xjdic to help you actually learn while figuring out what they're saying. To make things even easier for you all, I've also created accompanying files that contain most of the words (in kanji + kana) and their meanings. If you're a wuss and need a translation, go elsewhere. If you're willing to spend some time to learn something while also enjoying this wonderful manga, email me with a note promising me that you won't distribute these files. If someone else you know wants a copy, they can email me, too, you know. I have nothing but utmost respect for Tomizawa-sensei and so do not wish to cause him grief. Since this transcribing is probably copyright violation, I'm trying to keep this to minimal distribution. I do not really believe that the transcriptions themselves have much value without the drawings, though. There are many pages without any dialogue, in fact. By the way, I bought them from www.animaxis.com, but if you are willing to navigate through www.amazon.co.jp, you can get them from them as well. For you windoze losers (oops, did I mean users? nah), you can use JWPce. Don't ask me where to find it, how to install it, or how to use it. For you unix guys, get kterm, xjdic, EDICT files, etc. from http://ftp.monash.edu.au/pub/ Or if you just want to read the stuff, just kterm or MULE enabled EMACS will do fine. My e-mail address is on the main page.
